Ruthie Foster

Described by Rolling Stone as “pure magic to watch and hear,” with a naturally expressive voice that has drawn comparisons to greats like Aretha Franklin and Ella Fitzgerald, Texas-based singer and songwriter Ruthie Foster has a wide palette of American song forms -- gospel and blues to jazz, folk, and soul -- and her live performances are powerfully transfiguring. There’s something overwhelmingly pure and powerful about watching Ruthie Foster play her guitar and belt it all out.

She has sung duets with Bonnie Raitt, stood onstage with the Allman Brothers at New York’s Beacon Theater and even traded verses with Susan Tedeschi - all while being nominated for a Best Blues Album Grammy — three times in a row. Foster has developed a unique sound unable to be contained within a single genre. That uniqueness echoes a common theme in Ruthie’s life and career - marching to the beat of her own drum.

Jenny Don't And The Spurs

Jenny Don’t And The Spurs features Jenny Connors guitar and vocals, Christopher March guitar and lap steel with Kelly Halliburton (Pierced Arrows) bass and Sam Henry (The Wipers) on drums. While the sound of the Spurs is original and draws from deep wells of personal experience, the band pays stylistic homage to the greats of the genre – Patsy Cline, Ernest Tubb, Hank Williams Sr., Loretta Lynne, and all the rest of the real players from the 1940s and 50s - an era where the lines between Rock’n’Roll and Country were blurred, where the likes of Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, and Carl Perkins could tour together and nobody would bat an eye. Jenny Don't sings from the heart and Sam, Kelly, and Christopher play like there is no tomorrow. Sit back and enjoy!

Riders In The Sky

They stand "hats & shoulders" above the rest of the purveyors of C & W - "Comedy & Western!"

For more than thirty years Riders In The Sky have been keepers of the flame passed on by the Sons of the Pioneers, Gene Autry and Roy Rogers, reviving and revitalizing the genre. And while remaining true to the integrity of Western music, they have themselves become modern-day icons by branding the genre with their own legendary wacky humor and way-out Western wit, and all along encouraging buckaroos and buckarettes to live life "The Cowboy Way!"

As a classic cowboy quartet, the trail has led them to heights they could have never predicted. Riders have chalked up over 6100 concert appearances in all 50 states and 10 countries, appearing in venues everywhere from the Nashville National Guard Armory to Carnegie Hall, and from county fairs to the Hollywood Bowl.

Riders In The Sky are exceptional not just in the sense that their music is of superlative standards (they are the ONLY exclusively Western artist to have won a Grammy, and Riders have won two), but by the fact that their accomplishments are an exception to the rule as well.

Riverbend Live! Youth Theater presents Willy Wonka and The Chocolate Factory

Roald Dahl's Willy Wonka JR. follows the eccentric candy manufacturer Willy Wonka as he stages a contest: hiding golden tickets in five of his famed candy bars. Whomever comes up with these tickets wins a free tour of the Wonka factory, as well as a lifetime supply of candy. Four of the five winning children are brats, but the fifth is the ever-hopeful Charlie Bucket, who takes the tour in the company of his loving grandfather. The children must learn to follow Mr. Wonka and the Oompa Loompa’s rules of the factory – or suffer the consequences.

Delta Rae

Six-piece band Delta Rae hails from Durham, NC. Liz Hopkins and Brittany Holljes front the robust group with sultry harmonies rounded out by Holljes’ brothers Eric (vocals, piano) and Ian (vocals, guitar) as well as Mike McKee (drums) and Grant Emerson (bass). The band chose their moniker from a mythical story the Holljes siblings’ mother wrote about a Southern girl of the same name who summons the Greek gods to earth. Headlining over 100 shows each year and a regular on the festival circuit since forming in 2009, Delta Rae’s larger-than-life performances have earned coveted spots at Bonnaroo, Tortuga Music Festival, Austin City Limits, Hangout Fest, VOODOO and Lollapalooza. They have received national attention with features in NPR, Washington Post and New York Times in addition to multiple late night performances and inclusion in Forbes' 30 Under 30 list. Now signed to Big Machine Label Group’s imprint The Valory Music Co., Delta Rae will bring their intriguing sound to Country radio with their new single, “No Peace in Quiet."

Carolina Story

Carolina Story never said no to a gig. A bar, a church, a theater, a nursing home: the duo––made up of husband and wife Ben and Emily Roberts––crisscrossed the country for a decade, building a sprawling grassroots fanbase enamored with the pair’s smart, self-penned, harmony-laden Americana. Today, their new album Lay Your Head Down is a highly anticipated full-length debut on Black River. They’ve graced the Grand Ole Opry stage many times, won over critics, and inked a record deal.

Today, life is Ben and Emily’s shared dream come true. But getting here wasn’t easy.
